A variety of holiday fund-raisers happened around the valley this past Saturday, Dec. 6. The Eagles Aerie in Mt. Mesa hosted their Peddlers’ Faire, a Christmas Craft Bazaar was held at the Moose Lodge in Lake Isabella, and the Kern River Valley Woman’s Club Holiday Spectacular took place at Mountain View Baptist Church in Lake Isabella.

An image with historical magnitude (Scottsbluff Star-Herald)

This photo provided by the Nebraska State Historical Society shows an image of Chimney Rock captured in July 1866 by Charles Savage. The oldest known surviving photograph of Chimney Rock in western Nebraska wasrecently purchased by the Nebraska State Historical Society on eBay for $342.
